Resetting Your Anonymizer Universal Connection
To reset your Anonymizer Universal connection, please follow these steps:
Step 1
To begin, exit Anonymizer Universal by left clicking on the Anonymizer Universal icon in your system tray until the menu appears. Select “Quit.&rdquo
Step 2
Next, click on the Apple icon in the top left side corner and select “System Preferences.&rdquo
Step 3
Choose “Network&rdquo under “Internet and Network&rdquo settings. You will see a window like the one below.
Step 4
Select the entry for “Anonymizer Universal&rdquo in the column on the left, and then the Minus (-) symbol at the bottom of the column (see diagram below).
Step 5
The Anonymizer Universal entry will disappear. Click “Apply,&rdquo and then close the Network Window.
Step 6
Restart Anonymizer Universal and try to connect.
Step 7
After connecting, you should see an anonymous IP Address displayed in the software.
Please Note: If you are still experiencing the same issue, your connection may be affected by another “application&rdquo or “setting&rdquo on your machine or network. Please send us the name, version number, and make and model of any security software you are running so that we can further troubleshoot your issue.
